New Year, New You

We all make New Year’s resolutions to improve ourselves, from meeting new people, to getting more involved with the local community to taking part in new adventurous activities.

Well for young people in Maidenhead and the surrounding area, that resolution has just become easier to achieve!

Maidenhead Rotaract is looking for new members and is a fun, dynamic international organisation that provides an opportunity for men and women aged 18 30 to have fun, meet new friends, and get involved with the community.

A Rotaract club’s activities are decided by its members and are always varied and great fun. Maidenhead Rotaract have recently taken part in a sponsored swim fundraising for World Swim for Malaria, been Sno-Tubing, organised collections for local charities, organised a race night, been camping, had trips to the cinema, pubs and meals out, and had speakers from local charities including: Alexander Devine Children’s Cancer Care Trust and REACT. You name it and Rotaract have either done it, are doing it or are organising to do it again!

Some events planned for the future include Laser Quest, Bowling, pub visits, safari supper, a weekend away in Torquay, a charity casino night, a weekend away in Cardiff and taking part in a sponsored 24 hour technology famine.

Anyone interested in finding out more is invited to one of their club meetings that take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 8pm in Maidenhead Town Centre. Our meetings are a relaxed evening meeting current members and hearing about our recent and upcoming activities.
